Anybody with arospeed springs? Or heard of the performance?

Hey I am about to get kyb-gr2 for my 89 maxima.(It's time 125,000 poor baby ). I was planning on getting ST springs also...but I saw arospeed makes springs for our cars with a supposedly 1.7 inch drop. Anybody has those?? I saw they go for pretty cheap too. I'm not into track racing or anything but I like to drive fast. I want to handle better that's why I'm getting KYB's also. Will ST's and and kyb gr-2's do me good???

Yes I've searched....but I want new answers

I love my gr2 and sprint setup....its probably one of the cheapest setups..a total of around $400 but it feels great.

Yeah I've been talkin about the Arospeeds since they first came out with our cars. I actually decided to try them over the Intrax and ordered some 2 yrs ago. They were on massive backorder though and after months of waiting I cancelled my order and went with the Intrax.

I havent heard or seen anyone (Maxima's) with these springs. I know alot of Honda guys that have them and they love them. Give 'em a try you'll definitely be unique. I'd say the performance is probably just like Intrax/Sprint.

Dropzone also makes springs for us I believe.

sup gang!

I never thought that none of u guys had Arospeed springs in ur cars??? well, I guess im the only one with them

Smoothmaxima,
Arospeed does provide springs that gives our maximas a 1.7 drop. But to tell u the truth that from my point of view I don't even like them anymore cuz I wanna go lower. Im thinkin' about gettin' intrax and sellin' my Arospeed but not sure when to do this. As for the handling my car is a little stiffer but not that much of a difference, but u'll notice it, and it does not bounce at all. And yes these Arospeed springs r cheap. I got them for $300.

Damn feels good to be the only one with these springs on his max

$300? cheap?

I've heard that people with arospeed springs say that it doesn't drop the car 1.7 at all, no real huge difference, just a little drop.
$300 is expensive considering that everwhere sells them for less that $150. Intrax is just around $200, i dunno where you paid $300, but arospeed was never that expensive.

I meant to say $200 not $300

sorry guys.

Sudesh,
The springs I got them at HMI Performance. And this was about 2 years ago. And it did drop the car 1.75" to the ground cuz I measured myself. As for the price yeah they r cheaper now then when I bought them.

Re: sup gang!

GRNMAXDON, dont waste your time trying to go lower, because, well you cant. Intrax is the same drop as Arospeed (1.75"), Sprint is 1.80" but the .05" difference isnt noticeable at all.

2 yrs ago when I was gonna get mine I was only gonna pay $125 shipped from PhoenixAutoWerx.

fenix....I had OEM shocks on mine for a year and a half. You can do it, it'll just be bouncier than with say new performance shocks. It's "recommended" to upgrade your shocks too, but your OEM shocks will hold up unless they're totally blown or something.

Well thanks everyone I think I'm gonna go with the arospeed/KYB setup. I don't think nobody really has that setup but arospeeds are 129 at the cheapest i saw them. I was gonna get ST springs but I'll just go ahead with arospeed.

James12345,
Well, I don't know cuz it seems that the intrax makes it look lower for some reason. Y?? I really don't know. And I'm still rollin' around with my OEM shocks and the rear ones r already blown. As for what u were gonna pay DAMN that was a good price!! But the guy only sold them to me for $200. I thought it was cheap so I went ahead and bought them.

I know Sprints typically sit a little higher in the back, are Arospeed's the same way? Thanks

KLoWnPR109,
the Arospeed drops the rear end 1.75" to the ground same as the front, but it sits lower then the front. Now the sprint springs im really not sure if they're like that.

PuMa,
yeah that pic is with the arospeeds on and like I told KLoWnPR109 that the front and the rear has the same drop (1.75") but to tell u the truth for some damn reason the damn front sits a little higher than the rear and I don't like that. but yeah I have the springs on in that pic.

BTW, I hate my springs now
