Performance Chip Q's

Can anyone explain to me why there are four variations of the performance chip on Stillen's website? There is NAC, NAF, NMC, NMF. What do these (I'm assuming) abbreviations mean? Would be informative to know before I purchase one. Thanks.

so close...but the engine ECU does not really control the transmission.
F = federal spec emission
C = cali spec emission

So very close...

NAC = Auto tranny w/ CAL emissions
NAF = Auto tranny w/ FED emissions
NMC = Manual tranny w/ CAL emissions
NMF = Manual tranny w/ FED emissions

Remember DanNY, auto tranny doesn't know what to do without auto ECU.

does not REALLY control tranny. there's another tin box that runs the slush tranny.

yes i know that Kay-lub!
auto ecu - works w/ auto and 5spd
5spd ecu - 5spd only

What is the difference between Cal and Fed Emissions as far as the chip is concerned?

a fed emission car won't pass CA emission. a CA emission car can pass anywhere..but it has additional sensors that the ecu needs to take account for.

I think what I was asking was will the CAL emissions chip suffer any kind of HP loss compared to the FED emissions chip?

call JWT..
if u have a CA ECU then get a CA ECU..
if u have a fed ECU then get a fed ECU.

i would guess that there's no power difference.
