I payed 90 dollars to install a y pipe, hi flow cat, and o2 sensor. I came back to the same mechanic and asked how much is labor for a b pipe and an muffler. he said 125.. How is it that it cost more to install a b pipe and muffler than a y pipe hiflow cat and o2 sensor

 

sometimes people are jerks. simply go somewhere else to have them do it.

 

My guess would be that since he would have to weld to put the b pipe in then that is why it is a little more expensive. You dont have do do any welding for the y and cat.

I would ask them though and see whats up...maybe he thought you wanted him to supply (bend) the b pipe.

 

yeah that's ridiculous go to the next shop

 

Welding cost a little more but it should not cost $125. I paid $50 to have my y-pipe put on and $80 for cat and cat back. You should diffinitely go to another place.
