Ok, I have a friend who has a 97 honda prelude...

I am planning on purchasing 92 SE Max soon... what kind of mods should i put on to be able to smoke my friend

Also... money is an issue so what are some basic and semi-cheap (worth the money) mods that I should put on there right away

i would think a modded out 97 prelude modded would beat a 3rd gen max modded. so in my opinion unless you get nos or a turbo he is gonna beat you if he has all the bolt on mods. anyone else have opinions on this, i never actually raced a 97 prelude so im just takin a guess here.

Well....

if its a Vtech he might give you trouble in the high end(after 4.5-5k Rpms)!!!!!! But not all is lost I think all basic bolt ons(intake, exhaust, etc.) on a VE could SMOKE a Lude!!!!!!(IMO) but I've seen VE's do some amazing things before as well as Ludes!! but a modded Vtec Lude will DEFINENTLY give you TROUBLE, throughout the powerband!!! just give it a try, LIVE AND LEARN, if you get smoked, go back home, save up some cash and mod that MAX up, come back and kick his a$$!!!
