It dosent idle it revs from 1500 rpm to 2500 rpm in a loop ... There are no codes on the ecu as of yet ... Is this some kind of weird learning period or a bad ?? Almost lost my door as i put it in reverse and it started to take off with the brakes applied...

 

MAF, Vaccuum leak, TPS....COuld be learning. I had my battery out for a while once..ran real crappy for a day..then chilled out.

 

the IACV could need cleaning. I had the same symtoms, engine raced and it would not settle down. This is from a valve inside the IACV that allows a fast idle when the engine is cold, so if it sticks (due to carbon deposits) the idle will always be high.

thats the link for how I did it, but I can now add that I do not disconnect the hose leading to the IACV, BUT I insert the red tube (that comes with the can of cleaner) leading from the can of throttle body cleaner between the hose and the brass tube, so that the engine can be running and cleaner can be sprayed down the rubber tube. It is very effective and works even better b/c the engine can more effectively suck the cleaner through.
