OK, so I bought the 80/100 bulbs and they fried my wiring harness.....just finished repalcing them...about $8 from Autozone, some buttconnectors and elect tape. I want to have whiter looking bulbs bc stock stink. WHat wattage should I buy without frying everything again. Thanks

 

I bought some 80W xenon HID wannabe bulbs after I got the bmw lights in....Had them for about 4 months and no problems yet. Just have to chec out the wattage onthe bulbs, evrything is diffeent. The ones I have are 80 acual wattage, but the brightness is what a 100w bulb would put out

 

It is my belief that if you buy PIAA bulbs vs. cheap bulbs, they should not melt the harness, or blow up as much. Without knowing what bulbs you originally bought it is hard to make a recomondation.

 

piaa suck. i got one piaa in and one oem in the other with stock wattage and they look the same

 

upgrade your harness here is a link to the place I got mine from. I have the 9005 and 9005 one though since I have e36 lights. I have 800 & 100 watt bulbs and havent had any problems with this harness.
