marine oil???
i know i'm going to get hammered for this but i have to ask anyway!!
while out on cape cod this summer i needed to get my oil changed and i came across this place that advertised that it used marine oil! i thought it was a little strange, but this place did oil changes for cars not boats. i didnt use the place, but can you actually use marine oil? is it better in some way or what? i'm just curious

I wouldn't recommend using it. Marine oil has different properties made for a different environment. one of the biggest differences is that boat motors run much much cooler than car engines. they're cooled by lake/ocean water at 40-90 degrees F.
Auto engines run at closer to 200F, and the water usually stays near that temp.
