actually mine might be at my house now, they charged my card last week and she said if it went out on thurs or friday Id get it monday or tuesday

Got it in today. The finish is pretty good...I've seen much worse. The weave is all in the same direction with hardly any blemishes under the clearcoat. There's a small FI plaque on the inside which is pretty cool and a small raised logo in the middle. I was not too impressed with the fit. The back of the hood had to be modified in order to get it on. There are two small hooks next to the hood hinges which had to be accomodated. I had to cut two slits in the back of the hood so that it would shut. When I closed it, there's a gap on either side that comes up about a 1/4 of an inch from the edge of the fender. This gap can be lessened if you decide not to use the hood shocks. Hood pins will also keep the hood down a little tighter and closer to the fender If you decide to use the shocks, you will need two people to close the hood. If not, find a way to prop that thing up. You must be gentle when closing the hood with the shocks because you don't want it to crack

Hmmm...so David you're using the hood struts?

I thought that was a no no? I've heard of many CF hoods cracking/splitting this way.

I was planning on not using the hood struts cuz I dont want that strain on the hood.

I was just gonna rig up some sort of hood support taken off some other car (the kind with the metal bar stand, ya know). Shouldnt be hard at all.

If Connie was being straight up with me 2 weeks ago then my hood should be on it's way today. However, I highly doubt this.

I'll give them a call Monday and I'll get the good ole 'Your hood should go out next week'. I still wont be surprised if it's November till I get mine. lol
