Passenger side window won't go up, help.

I closed all my windows this evening before i went back home. I went out few hours later and i saw my passenger window was half way open. So i tried to close the window. It didn't go up, so i go down, it didn't move either. The motor still running good, cause i could hear it. When i push down on it, it went down all the way and now it completely open.

What seem to be the problem? Do i need a new window regulator or something? How much would it cost to get it replace/fix? Is it something i can try fixing?

Thanks.

Dude, why don't you take your door cover off first and make sure something isnt just loose, or a small thing isn't broken before you go out and spend $60 bucks. Don't waste your money if you might not need to.

Re: Passenger side window won't go up, help.

When i bought my 91 SE the guy was asking $4400. The window on the passenger front wasn't going up and he said that he was having problems with it. So he dropped the price by 200 bux for it. So after i got my ride, i went to the junk yard and picked up a new power window switch for 20 bucks and its worked fine ever since. The seller of my car thought it was a window motor.

Note, at the junk yard make sure you take the front passenger window switch and no the rear, cause the rear switch is different and the doors dont lock with that switch.
