How can you take off wiring harness in trunk, and be able to put it back on?
My trunk light doesn't work - makes a BIIIg problem for taking stuff out at night, and needing to go find a flashlight, but I read on the forums here, that it's the wiring on the drivers side trunk. Sure enough, I removewr part of the electrical tape, and two wires are cut(and connecting them,m the light works). But I don't have enough wire to wire both sides together again, becuase the wiring harness has one of those plasticy things holding it to the body. I don't want to cut it, becuase I want to put it back up after I'm done, but is there a way to safely take it off, being able to put it back on again?
Hmmm.. ok, I just used a little less thn safe amount to each other(will come off easily with slight pull), but there is something strange!
Ok, there were 4 wires, 2 black, and a pink and green one. The blacks were the other sides(- or +'s one or the other), and the pink one connected made the trunk light work, but what does the green one do?? I reconnected it as well, but I'd really like to know what it controls..
