fstb end lengths -- do they need to be equal?
So far my work on my car has just consisted of general maintenance and interior stuff (mostly my car comp). Anyway, I installed an FSTB I got from Stealth Max today. Had a questions for you guys... did a search and found lots of install instructions (very handy), but nothing specifically addressing my question.
The length of the bar is adjustable by turning the end-bolts on the bar. Is it important that the end-bolts be the same length? I had the passenger side on mine a bit shorter to provide more clearance to my AC pipe (which I had to bend/rotate out of the way).
So is okay to have the bar slightly off-center (unequal end-bolt lengths), or do I need to make the ends the exact same length?

As long as it's bolted into place securely, it'll do it's job. other than that, no, it doesn't matter if one side has 1/8" more thread than the other. Just make sure everything is snug on them when you're done, and it's fine.
