Paint Job

hey everyone got someone new to the board.......anyways how much would you guys think the average cost would be to get a 89 maxima repainted the same color it already is??

Depends on the amount of work needed. Ie.. dents, dings etc... It also depends on how well you want the paint to turn out and how long you want the paint to last. Cheapie job might be $1000. A decent job will be $1800+ and a very good quality job will be $2500+.

i've got a buddie who says can do it in our school paint shop in a month for 500 (he gets at cost paint). what'd ya think?

I think I wouldn't trust a highschooler to paint my car : )

Its his engine on the ground(or stand?) when he tore it apart to rebuild/replace the NVCS solenoids..

Thanks Mike. Actually it's sitting on a dolly so I could wheel it around. I replaced the right side vtc, exhaust studs and head gasket. Also did a clutch job and tranny output shaft seals. Major pain in the ***.
