Just above the battery, in a black box with clips holding it in.

near the radiator?

The black box with the clips holds the flat panel air filter in it. If you get a drop in filter, you pop the clips, take the old one out, and DROP IN the new filter.

If you want a cone filter, you replace the entire air box with a cone filter.

oh i know what your saying now, but once you put in the cone, there is no need for the drop in filter right??

nope

The cone filter and adapter will completely replace your stock air box, thus, eliminating the flat panel filter. You can have either one or the other, but not both.

do you think that i should just replace my stock air filter and not get the cone?? will there still be a huge sound increase if i just replace the stock air filter and not replace the box?

the k&n drop in filter is basically like your normal everyday stock filter. Since everything is still the same you won't get that louder sound that you get when you put in a cone one. My friend put in a k&N drop in the other week and he found it was a waste of money. I'm putting in the cone one probably when I get paid or something.

It's nice to hear that growling noise that comes from the engine
