brakes

I did a search, but I want to know what current set-ups do people have and which would be the best.brake wise.

OK stock rotors?
brembo slotted or xdrilled or both?
powerstop?

goodgridge ss lines?

mm pads?
green stuff?

Whats the best combination??

Searching more is definately a good idea. And a good question to ask yourself is what do you want out of your brake system? Do you want it to just replace your old aging system, does it need to look good and be eye catching, are you planning on doing any driving that would actually requiring some serious stopping power (auto-x ing), etc. I really don't think you are going to need a huge amount of stopping power, and you're not going to get a tremendous amount just by buying slotted or drilled rotors. I can recommend the Brembo rotors, very good quality, and the Axxis pads are great too, they work well under heavy braking and they don't dust much. I haven't installed the SS lines yet, but I haven't heard anything bad about them before, so they should certainly complete the system. Have fun searching.

Thanks for you input. I dont need tremendous stopping power because I am not driving a ferrari. So Ill go with the brembo blanks and axis pads.

Always a good choice there. I got the Brembo slotted rotors (Brembo blanks slotted by Stillen), just because I thought they would look nice one day when I got new wheels and they were fairly cheap. GR Racing has the rotors and pads at good prices, as well as good brake fluid. I had to order the rear slotted rotors from the Stillen website.
