Don't forget to check the weight of the new tires also. You can do this on the tire mfg's web sites. 235/xx - 17's can weight a lot more than the stock tire. When going to 17" wheels it's very easy to add 10 lbs. of unsprung weight per wheel assy. That plus an air pressure increase of 4lbs. will give you an "up close and personal" feel of the road. I think anything bigger than 16" only helps looks, and only if you think it looks good.
...I'm too old for this to look good. I remeber when the first 70 series, Wide Oval, bias belted tires were introduced.
