Great!!

"The Maxima sedan, meanwhile, scored a perfect five across the board. That's a marked improvement from the last time it was tested for the 2014 model year when it received only three stars in the frontal crash evaluation and four stars overall."

Good to see! I was expecting the 8th gen to score very well and it did!

I would think that the new 'cockpit' design and the high center tunnel had a bit of influence in that rating...

Great info thanks for sharing. I've never bought a new gen car before the testing was done...Was recently searching for this info after I bought last month, and have been waiting for the results. Glad to hear that what I purchased is a really safe.

The GTR-esque A-pillar design definitely helped with the frontal score.

This is great news indeed. I guess the fuel sending unit recall and commitment of Nissan to fix this ensures 5 star safety rating across the board. Way to go. I'm happy that I got a really safe car. I just wish my car insurance would give me a discount.
