blue leds that suck

so i just put in blue leds behind the guages
and two weeks later, 2 of em are dead. they didnt get much use either, so im confused on this one. they were the right size(194) and i assume they could handle that voltage? i got them from autodynamics.com, so im gonna talk to them about it. just seems kind of odd, these things are supposed to last for years, not weeks. the ones in the doors are fine though,
anyone have anything to say?

alrite, so i got the diodes out and i took them apart, and im not really sure what to make of this
each led that ive taken apart has had a different setup
the first one had 2 resistors in parellel on the positive side and just one on the negative
the 2nd had one resistor on each side
on both of them, it was the actually wiring that failed
the connection from the small board to the resistors were kinda charred. i hope the diodes will still work after i resolder the joints. ive emailed autodynamic several times and have had no respose yet.
i put the ones from my doors in behind the guages, im just gonna keep the amplitude down i guess
