Lightweight wheels

I know there are alot of you out there that like big rolling stock..big and heavy. But for you others out there who want it just right, do any of you run "lightweight wheels" and did you notice a dramatic difference in acceleration and handling? I have in the past, but that was from overly heavy wheels back to factory wheels. Anyone running lighter than stock wheels notice improvements?

I'm running Enkei RS-Evolution in 16x7. pretty light at 16.x lb each. stocks are around that also, but the tires are an inch wider, so I'm a little heavier than stock. I noticed no loss in performance there, but I also didn't notice much when I went from 12lb stock brake rotors to 21lb Skyline rotors..

I then threw on a buddie's set of chrome 18s one night to goof off. SLOOOOOOW!!!. I threw mine back on 10 minutes later, and was back to "normal".

but no, I noticed no difference between my Enkeis and stock.

i think that's mostly due to more weight being outside the wheel than inside. but i would like to find some really light weight 17's that are at least 8 inches wide. not sure of my chances though.

yeah I'm looking for something light, (at least not much heavier than stock) and that won't cost 1200. those forged aluminum wheels out there go for way too much. What do you think the average weight for a 225/50/16 tire is?

I used to have n/a 300zx wheels on my car. I didn't notice too much difference in acceleration, but there was a huge difference in handling. I really like the look of those wheels on the maxima.

yeah same here... those rotas i think are going to be what i'm getting next. i think i'm going to get the subzero because i can get them with gun metal color and they are really light, 16.5 pounds. now if only they were a little wider.

would someone happen to know the weight of a ROH RT 17x9 and/or 17x8? thanks.
