my 91 nissan maxima se, i think, makes this creaky noise that sounds like something doesn't have enough oil, whenever it rains. i opened my hood today while in a light drizzle and tried to listen to where the noise was coming from. It seemed in the location of the engine left handside where the belts are. I have no clue what it could be, but i hope someone can help me out with this one.
I also have another question of what happens if your car is in drive and then you turn off your ignition by accident? I mean i did it before and had my foot on the brake and it seems to move still if you let go of the brake. Does this do anything to the car? Because i did this and I didn't like how it could just turn off without putting the gear in park first.

and just turning off your car wont do anything, driving and the slamming it into park will. you can turn your car off in any gear, but unless its in park or neutral, i dont think it will give you the key back, i could be wrong, i havent driven a max in a while.
