Fuel Pump

I noticed on nopi.com they have a venom fuel pump for our car. Does anyone know if that is worth buying or not. Also i have a 93' SE 5speed and i have 170k miles, would it be worth replacing the fuel pump for preventative maintenace or not? Are they known to go bad on our car?

Re: Fuel Pump

Mine went bad at around 120k, and it was a pain in the a$$ because it actually stranded me downtown and so I had to replace it in the middle of a busy day. I was praying no one would flick a cigarette butt near my car, cause it could have been the kiss of death. However, I don't see many cases of fuel pump failure on here as compared to injector failure or door lock failure. If you have the cash, do it!

I have a holley 255, similar to the Walbro made for ours. I recommend it, as it has made a tiny difference, but I do not recommen the Venom or for that matter pretty much ANYTHING made by Venom except their Venom 400 or the Digitally controlled nitrous setup.

If you talk to enough people at Nopi they will even say the same thing and I know several people that have had their fuel injectors, ECU upgrades, etc. and all they said was that Venom sucked BAD!

Just my opinion!

As for the Holley 255 Fuel pump you can most likely get it at Advanced Auto or any place that sells holley products. I got mine from the same guy I got my suspension upgrades and ECU off his maxima.

It is one made for a Cmaero actually if I remember.
