Don't think the VG has one. Usually on higher compression engines.

Well, I need more info, then i can give you my ideas. Feels like it's retarding the timing? That will not happen in our cars to my knowlege. What's happening and at what RPM? Losing top end I assume.

Yea the VG has one

But your lucky cause its below the exhaust manifold on the rear of the engine. You can jack the car up and get to it. Mine on the other hand is buried undrnrath the intake manifold meaning a 7-10 hour job. Those damm japs!

Shouldn't be the fuel pump. If the fuel pump is dying then you should have idle trouble from the get-go, and the car becomes increasingly more difficult to start (at least that's what I saw). And, for some reason, although an OEM fuel pump is $300, a Walbro high output one is only $100. Go figure! I managed to find an OEM for $120, but the brand sketched me out, so if it fails again, I think I'll know why.

Maybe it's the catalytic converter. If that's shot then it'll run worse when it gets hot.
