ATTN: People in NYC or Tri state area or anyone else... I need some feedback....>>>
I need to know how much miles you get on a full tank of gas? I filled up to the top on wednesday, I am now well into "E" with the light on, and I got 170 miles on the full tank, mostly city driving and traffic. Its around 30 now in NYC.. What would you guys get at this weather and mostly city driving on your car?
I know I have stressed this topic too much, but I need to determine if there is really something wrong with my car and wheather its supposed to be eating so much fuel or not. Some people tell me that i should expect gas milage this low at this weather.
So please tell me how much miles u have gotten on a FULL tank of gas in the last few times u filled up. And what kind of driving do u mostly do? (city? highway?)
thanks

I get around 16mpg in this weather (NYC) and mostly local driving. It takes about 5 miles of driving for the engine to heat up enough for the mixture not to be rich and the trans (auto) to go into OD. Until the engine is fully warmed up the gas milage is terrible.
well
I get about 200-240 depends on my driving style. The harder i drive the more gas i burn. I have a 95 gxe auto.
But I suspect I should be able to get about 280-300 regularly if I do not speed or do my usual 115mph sprints on the bronx river

Ok, here's what I get.
I only put Super gasoline in my car and mostly drive around the city (Harrisburg, PA).
I don't race anyone and drive very slowly and carefully to avoid as many potholes as I can.
I have been getting a little over 200 miles (220-240) per fill up.
I put Texaco, Amoco and Mobil which I believe are good brands.
But I am sure, if I did highway driving, that number would definately go up.
