ok, this has just recently happened.....for the strangest reason, the lever that slides left to right (and vice versa) on the temp unit will not go to the cold side anymore.....it will go to the hot side, but when i try to slide it back to the cold side, it stops in the middle as if thats as far as it will go.....any ideas and help on this would be appreciated..glad its a lil cold here cause that heat would be hell in the summer!!!

 

an all-too-common problem. Check the cable under the dash. It's easier to access it from the passenger side. It's likely binding somewhere or needs lubricating.

So how can we find this cable? I think there are tons of cables underneath the dash. How do we find the offending one?

 

i was thinkin the same thing, personally it seems more than a cable to me, but i figured i would pull the console unit out itself and look from there first...if i couldn't find it, i would just come back here and ask.....but i'll let you know the outcome
