Shifter Bushing...Help>>>

I just bought a new shifting bushing for my auto and I couldn't believe it was such a little tiny part. Well I'm looking at the part and it looks like a tiny intake mounting plate. My ? is...which way does it go on? Big end first or little end first?

Can anyone explain?

Thanks

ok I did a search and YES I found A LOT of information on changing the shifter bushing, but you see, I already know how to change it. My ? is which way does the bushing go?? The bushing clearly has a small end and a larger end. Which end goes on first??

Thanks

Put it back on the same way as the one you are removing.

actually the bushing usually breaks and falls off, so he wouldnt know.

Just put the small end on first. you want it so that the large side sits against the washers and clip.

Thanks Eric...your da man...final a straight answer. I wish these smart a$$es would stop posting this "do a search" b.s. Its kind of stupid for someone to post this knowing that what I'm asking is very specific. You guys need to stop assuming that people don't search before hand.

Thanks,
Kevin

yeah do a search.
you know the bushing is the same dia all the way through. it looks like a tophat. the rim of the top hat should be against the shifter rod. if you have an ounce of common sense you would understand that instead of going off the deep end and b1tching people out for telling you to do a search.

so from the shifter rod/stud it's...
bushing (rim of top hat against the rod), rod form tranny, washer, and pin.

Maybe you didn't quite understand what I said in my previous post. I DID A SEARCH BEFORE HAND & DIDN'T FIND ANYTHING. I can't make this any simpler for you. You guys are making this board a living hell for people. Guys on here are scared to post for the fear of getting the same ****..."do a search". Even people that did search post it in there message. Did it ever occur to you that people do search and that they post for a reason.

Thanks for the follow up fellas. I would like to appologies for what I said earlier. Its just that I get a little ticked off when people always say "do a search". I put it behind me...so no hard feelings.

Thanks,
Kevin
