I am having a problem with my seatbelt warning signal chime. While driving down the road it begins to chime for no apparent reason. It has been brought to my local Nissan dealer and a local mechanic, neither of which coud find any fault. Has anyone had this problem? If so, how did you remidy this situation?

there are three sensors on the seatbelt that could cause this....one of them has to be faulty...technically seatbelts are warrantied for life and the dealer should find and fix it...i think someone on here has fixed it themselves...i wanna say Craig B but i can't remember

Same here!!

I think I have narrowed it down to the rear lock position sensor on the passenger motorized belt. I wiggle the emergency disconnect switch and it goes away sometimes. I took my car to the dealer to fix it under the seatbelt warranty and they gave me the "it only covers mechanical, not electronic" line. so I'll try again. I deal with it for now, usually the stereo's up loud enough to cover the chime anyway
