SE vs GXE?
#4
i've never seen a GXE with more than my SE, maybe i'm just not lookin hard enough. I've heard that the GXE had "sonic shocks" or something like that, where they sense the road and adjust. I actaully read it in a brochure for 3rd gen max's. that's kinda cool. I am partial to my SE cause, well i like the wing and the 190 HP. i also like the same color grill. that kinda stuff. If you could i'd go for the SE, the white gauges are pretty pimp too.

Ya they both had the option of the solar suspension but they did away with it, and pretty much left the components the same just changed the strut. Rumor's are that's why our cars suffer from saggy *** syndrome and other handling problems.
My personal opinion is i like the GXE's cause i like chrome, but not to much chrome, and the GXE's are nice. SE's do have the VE engine but a VG is just as good. Depends on what you can find for a good price and if you like it, if not get the other.

In my oppinion I like the way the GXE's look the best. I really dont like the way that either of them look stock though. I've almost forgotton what a stock one looks like untill I drive down the road and see all the old men driving the stock one's. I think that because of their body style they look nice when hooked up moderately. You can actually do a lot more with the car then most think. If I was to buy another one I would definitely get a 94SE. Not for looks but for the engine. Bothe GXE and SE's are identical for the most part. The average person could never tell the two apart. Its only minor appearance things that are different like the mirrors, wheels, trim, grill, and gauges. So if your wanting performance than go with a 92-94SE. Thats my oppinion.

I saw a 93 GXE for sell today for 9200. But something was bugging me. It had single tip muffler, and GXE wheels. Yet the trim around the taillights was black while it was chrome on the rest of the car. I think it's been wrecked and they put the wrong trim on, or they were broken.

I'm sorry, but I've driven both of the models of 3rd gens and I would have to say that the VE engine rules! Both of the cars I've driven were in good condition too. The VE is MUCH more powerful and more torquey. Check the stats. But then again I have a 5spd so there's a difference.
