Amsoil 75-90w Synthetic Gear lube
Amsoil 75-90w Synthetic Gear lube
I put this in my car despite some confusion as to whether it might result or cause problems with synchronizers. The Amsoil web site says it can be used in all vehicles and posts no warning about potential issues with synchronizers. Even though it a GL 5, website claims it can be used in place of GL-2 to GL 5--the originial spec is a GL 80-90W.
It seems to shift more smoothly but the real test will be -20 degrees
Has anyone have experience with synthetics gear lube in general or this one in particular? Any cautions?

Definitely.... with the dino crap the tranny place put in there, I could tell a difference even on hot days between cold and warm tranny.
I then changed it to Redline MT fluid, and it's MUCH smoother. no difference between hot and cold tranny, and the few mornings we've had below freezing don't bother it either. smooth as buttah.
