235/40/18 Toyo PROXES T1-s...super high grip in wet road conditions and one of the best looking tread patterns around...

yeah im like you JK, i doubt you will ever see me driving hard, i think one of the reasons why people dont get long tire wear besides the fact of its components is that people drive them hard, those paradas, those are the tires that have that totally unique tread design right, it has waxy diagonal treads? if so, those are the most beautiful tires ive ever seen

i'm running 235/45/17 falken ziex ZE502s, they're kinda loud at highway speeds which i dont like, great grip off the line (and makes it difficult to chirp second), pretty good wet traction as the only problem i've had is accelerating hard in the wet. also, they squeal around corners at moderatly aggressive speeds but i've yet to have them let go.
next up? proxes T1-S, yoko AVS sport, avon ZZ-1, sumitomo HTRZII. i just want something thats equal to the falkens in grip, but wont squeal as much and much quieter on the highway.

Got me some 225/45/17 Federals. I've never heard of them before, but so far I love them. I have had no problems with them for the past 6 months.

Yeah forgot to say that I will only be running on my sumitumo's for only the spring and summer and will put my factory 15's back on in the winter. So hopefully I will get a longer drive out of my low pro's!!!

shaved, you know with those 215/35-18 your speedo is off quite a bit, 225/40 for 18 inch wheels is the closest to stock circumference, speedo says 61mph when really your going 60,so its not really too much off. the wheels i got come with 215/35's but for 40 more bucks i got 225/40's, glad i did

??? How did u get away with the 225/45/17? I was going to attempt to but I had to cut my rear shock cartridge to prevent my rear tires from rubbing on the assembly. I did 215/50/17, 225 would have rubbed when turning up front, and would have rubbed the strut assembly in the rear? Let me know??

well, when i bought my rims the guy at the shop recommended that size tire for my car due to the clearance of my wheel well. but it hasn't given me any problems at all. im on OEM shocks and with Arospeed lowerin' springs which drops my car to a 1.75" but im gonna go lower now cuz i have a friend that has a '91 Max SE and im gonna experiment with his springs cuz they belong to an altima and he's sittin' lower than me and they r not cut springs. and he has no problems yet with those springs.

Yea I remember that you have a bigger tire and rim, my year cam OEM with 205/60/15 So 215 was the widest i could go on the 17 inch rim. Could have gone wider on a smaller rim like my 15's with 225/60/15 but **** who wants to do that??? Oh, did you have to use a camber adjustment to correct alignment? I know you will when you drop the suspension, but what if you dont change the suspension? keep stock, and just go bigger with the rim?

I'm runnin 225/45/17 Kumho Ecsta Supra 712 and have no complaints. When really cold they like to spin alittle more and they like to spin alot when it's warm but they are great around corners.

i went with the 215 35 because i needed the least wide tread, the shop i got them from didnt have 215 40. i hardly drive my car (only on summer really) and when i do i hardly look at the odo, so it doesnt really matter. i have 205 55 16's now and im sure thats lower that stock. the new ones are just about the same height. i wont be selling the car as i wont get what i put into it, so the odo doesnt matter to me

Yeah, I've got 225/45/17 Kumho Ecsta Supra 712's on my summer wheels and a combo of 205/65/15 Blizzak's and Michelin MXV's (I think...)on my winter wheels. I like those Kumho's... I've heard some complaints from them, but I have none.

i have suspension tech., got them from jc whitney, 180 shipped, got them installed for 200, if you think thats a lot, i talked it down from 230. when i first installed them i didnt like it, i could stick 1 finger inbetween the rears, about 3 in the front, once i put my wheels on there, it evened out perfectly, dont ask why, i have no clue, but now i can stick 1 finger all the way around. i have stock struts on, i need new ones reallly badly, car handles a lot better but still need some new struts
