nope i think he's pretty much correct on the price but i may be wrong. and yeah i would say the dealer has to install them for safety. i got mine replaced by tellin' the insurance company i wrecked the car which i did and told them the air bag deployed in my accident which it didn't. the air bag actually deployed in its first accident from the previous owner. so i told them i am not takin' my car without a brand new air bag. so they re-estimated my car and just the air bag with new computer and new sensors came out to at least $2300 but i didn't pay for it. the ladys insurance company which i hit payed for it.

I thought airbags on 3rd gens are optional? Because it still has that stoopid motorized seatbelts! Anyway, if it's optional, is it legal then to replace it with non-airbagged wheel from other 3rd gens? Otherwise just get a Momo or Nardi or something! They're a pleasure to hold anyhow!
