Y pipe with B pipe

Y pipe with B pipe

Hey guys Idid a search still dont understand was wondering if you could explain this for me. Has anyone noticed a difference in just getting the y pipe verse getting the y pipe with a b pipe? also im thinking of doing the full job, y pipe all way back in top line parts into a borla turbo muffler with a borla turbo tip. the parts in betweehn my muffler and y pipe what should i get???? ie hi flo cat , or b pipe?

Well, if you get just a y-pipe, you aren't going to notice as big a difference as you would with a full exhaust. Personally, I'd just spend a lot of money at once, and just do the full exhaust. I got my cai, y, carsound cat, 2.25" b w/ resonator from WSP for something like $500-600 (don't remember the figure since it was so long ago). Also, got my Borla turbo muffler at Jegs for $104. All together, spending about $600 for a full stainless steel exhaust that will live longer than my Maxima is worth it.

Go with a high flow cat. That way you will get a small gain, but will still be able to pass emissions. Just please don't gut the stock cat, you could harm exhaust flow and you will be doing some serious harm to the air as well.
