I Really Need Help From An Experienced Member
Took my car to get an inspection this week. I had to get a new Muffler, Exaust Pipe, Ball Joints, and Wheel Alignment. The only two things left to get done are a new CV Left Axle and a RMFG. Long Gear which Midas wants $719.00 to repair does anyone know what the hell a RMFG Long Gear is Im typing it directly off of the paper I cant find it in a search anywhere. What does it do and how important is it to get repaired.
Re: I Really Need Help From An Experienced Member

Simple.. call them back and make THEM explain what it is. CV joint is common to need replaced.. there's no such thing as a "long gear" on our car, unless it's in the tranny, and there's no way they can tell what's wrong with your tranny unless they take it apart.
