hey guys im extremely new to here, actually its my first post. but i own a 93 sentra se-r(sr20deforum.com anyone?) right now. im looking to get a 2nd car(92-94 maxima se) sometime within the next year and would like to get all the info on them i can now
So I was just wondering how much a common ve30de runs, used? also, what are some websites that sell them? Im wondering this, b/c my common practice is to get a higher mileage car(since most of the early 90s cars are anyways) and replace the engine for cheap, while throwing in a performance clutch during the process.
Lastly, what other cars did the ve30de come in? just 92-94 se 3rd gen maximas and 4th gens too? what about any japanese cars with it?

also, are there any popular swaps for the 92-94 SE?

The VE engine may have been use in Japan, but my understanding is that it was the same. 92-94 was it. The VTC's needed more design work.

 

You can just look in autotrader, but make sure you get a 5 speed. Also if it has VTC failure, try and save the money to get the new VTC's from the dealer and be very loyal to your oil, staying on top of it and using Nissan's oil filter that will keep the problem from coming back.

 

I have a '92 SE 5spd. It has 137k miles. The body is pretty nice and the interior is in good shape as well. The VTCs are grounded. It needs front struts. It is white exteriorly with tan and black interior. It doesn't have any real mods other than a newer catback (custom bent) with a flowmaster muffler. The timing is also bumped up. It runs well. I found a great deal on a '92 Taurus SHO that I can't pass up. That is the only reason why I am going to sell this. I am from Pittsburgh, Pa.
