Plastic Engine Guards

Ive noticed a strange bumping noise every time I take a bump or small hill. It doesnt sound like metal more of a bump really. I looked under the car and noticed those plastic panels under the engine were all shot up. My question is if its safe to drive without them or should i replace them?

My understanding is that they are there for a reason. 1 being it protects Your belt and other **** try to replace them before taking them out.

I agree. They wouldn't put them there if they weren't needed because it would be cheaper to not put them there. You wouldn't want unlimited amounts of road debris, dirt and grime spalshing up on your Max engine anyway would you?

Those things are so annoying to take off and put back on, especially when the garage floor is wet
