will 19's fit?

I know that i have seen a couple of 3rd gens with 19's but will they require any modification at all, or will they just bolt right up considering the correct offset and all? they are Mille Miglia Avia II's . they came off of a 4th gen maxima, i just need to know if they will fit a 3rd gen the same way without any hassle. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks guys.

I would say yes. If you're asking if you can fit 19" rims on a 3rd gen without modification, I would say absolutely. If you're asking if those particular rims would fit, I would say probably since they came off a 4th gen. Yes, 19s will fit if they are the correct size otherwise, I've seen a Maxima (a ghetto looking POS, but a 3rd gen nonetheless) here in Indianapolis with 19s on it. I had 18s and STs and still had plenty of room to go.

no doubt 19s will fit, 20s will fit, at the iasca finals a 3rd gen had 20 inch platinums, looked so clean.

thanks Geoff, i thought that since they came off of a 4th gen that it should be the same but i was not positive. so the 4th gen wheel setup is the same as the 3rd gens. besides being able to go even bigger on the 4th gen. thanks a lot for the info. my friend is looking to buy these wheels and we want to make sure that they would fit. thanks

Well, I'm not sure that you could necessarily go bigger with a 4th gen than you could with a 3rd. 4th gens look like you might be able to put bigger wheels on them (because they resemble 4x4s so much!) but that may not be true. I've seen some big wheels on 3rd gens too. Rule of thumb: wheels are swappable from 1989- on. If it fits one of those years it fits them all. I think that's a pretty safe assumption...

hold on now just because these wheels were on a 4th gen doesn't mean they will fit. check the offset I think the highest you can go is about 42mm. I have 18's with a 42mm offset but I still but spacers on the back (real close to the shock tower). and you should have plenty of room if the car is not lowered.

Even if the car is lowered, you're not going to have clearance issues with 19s unless they have huge tires on them or something. And like I said before, unless they don't fit otherwise (being spacing and offset) then you will be fine. It is a safe assumption (but an assumption nonetheless) that if they fit on a 4th gen they will fit on your 3rd. I was not trying to assure you, however, that because they were 19s they would fit. Your best bet is to measure the offset, or take the wheels in to a local shop that sells them and ask them if they will fit or not. You'll want to ask them also what the recommended tire size is for that particular wheel on your car. Good luck!

the tires are 235/35/19s so i think they should be ok.

19's with 235-35-19's are sure to fit because thats what i have on my 3rd gen and yes u can put bigger rims on a 4th gen because a cousin of mine had 21's slammed with no rub and no mod. i could barly get away with 20's. whats the width on the rim? 8.5?

It will be fine in the front for sure, might rub a bit in the back. The only way to know for sure it to try.
