Hey ppl, i have been searching for 2 days, about spring prices, i think im goin with the eibachs pro. kit. All other spring kits seem like they drop to much or sag when driving. new stock struts stock rims with a 1.5 drop, this should be interesting
-the problem, is MONEY! if you bought springs on-line were did you get them.. hit me with a link! plzzzz
-im going to install them my-self (with some help). will i run into any unexpected problems on the way?

any info, at all will be great! thanx

Dude, those eibachs are going to kill the stock struts. Probably bounce like hell from the beginning. I suggest you return them and get some upgraded ones..you'll be much happier with the outcome. Either way, you'll need a spring compressor. You can rent one, but i can tell you from experience, using hand tools to compress it is no fun..takes forever but builds big fore-arms. Air tools are nice. Anyway, good luck and don't get blazed before yo attempt this one. If you don't put that compressor on correctly, the spring could go flying and kill you..really, it has happened. I did it once on a bench type compressor. The spring stayed on the bench because of a safety device, but it was mad scary. You won't have any safety device using the basic hand tool version. Also, I helped a friend do springs on his AWD eclipse..it was a disaster. The springs were crazy stiff with a low drop. We couldn't get them to compress enough for the install with hand tools. It would be well worth your while to remove the struts and spring combo from the car, drive all the stuff over to a shop and pay them to assemble it all. Good luck smokey.

DO NOT mount eibachs on stock struts. you'll hate yourself in the morning, just like sleeping with a nasty ***** because it was cheaper than getting a clean one.

The replies to this post have me wondering if I can use shorter than stock springs. I had the stock struts replaced about a year ago with KYB struts (should have replaced the springs then but this was before I found the org). Am I going to have a problem if I go with lower springs?

can i also take u up on that offer?

Chris, i got front kybs from tirerack.com
the rears are like $35 each (still shocking to me that struts can be that cheap) I'm looking for suspension techniques springs now cos from what I read they are kinda cheap (yea yea i'm cheap) but also perform well given the circumstances and price as well as being able to drop the height with kybs.
