Another accident!!

Saturday night a car ran into the intersection i was coming up on and tryin to avoid him i slammed on my brakes....the road was still wet from the rain earlier and i slid from the ongoing 3 lanes i was in into oncomming 3 lanes on the other side of the road...luckily no cars were coming at the time or my 3 friends and i would have been FUBAR!! But we all walked away from it scratchless and we can laugh at it now....pretty much the max was towed away in pretty decent condition....from the curbs that i jumped and everything, i was expectin some major damage......this is where i need ya'lls help on prices and things....i have 3 flat tires...i think my driver side shock is busted....one of the fog lights were demolished....corner light gone... a decent scratch/dent on the driver side fender....and the main thing that has me worried...the tranny was leaking....asfter lookin at it today, theres a hole in what i think is the tranny pan.

My question is, we do have a tranny pan right...and if so, how much is a new one, is it hard to replace, and is there anything extra i need when tryin to replace it???? On the other stuff, the junk yard will come in handy, i still have my stock corners, fog light might have to wait since the whole assembly is pretty much cracked and not to mention that the lil plastic lip on the bottom was cracked too..tokico strut i should be able to get wit no problem, and the body and paint job will just have to wait...oh well, thats my weekend in a nut shell....thanks guys!!!

You'll have to look at the bottom of the transmission again. I'm not positive about it buy I think it has a pan, I'm a 5 speed guy. Anyway, It should look similar to the oil pan, with bolts around the outside of the pan. When replacing it, you should replace the trans pan gasket and filter, and while you've got it apart, you should also think about a shift kit.

If the hole is not in the pan, then it's probably in the casing. I have no idea if that is fixable or not, but if it isn't...I see a bright future for you. I see an extra pedal, and a shifter that can move side to side...get my drift!

lol....dont think holes in casing ARE "fixable". I not only see a bright future for you with a third pedal, I'm in your future right now looking at you chirping in second.

If you have the same tranny as my 94 then yes, there is a tranny pan. Up from that is a gasket and also a magnet that collects metal filings.

A lil of both...i was coming up on a turn in the road and cars can come from the left side onto where i was driving.....the turn is kind of a blind turn and when i came around, i saw tha camaro at the last minute...i hit my brakes a lil harder than i expected and started sliding and the wheels wouldn't unlock, plus it was wet....i was doin about 55 in a 45, but its like a 6 line highway out there....pretty much the blind turn is what f'd up the situation, but i did have a part to play in it wit me goin fast!!!

thanks for the replys guys....i wish i could get tha 5 spd conversion done...but cash is rare here and i just switched to liability insurance which ****es me the fuc off b/c i knew this ish was gonna happen.....didn't wanna happen when i had full coverage, but now it happens... thats my kind of luck though!!!

You're best bet would probably take it to a quick lube oil place and have it done. I work at one and it's $40 installed. It comes with the filter and gasket. Usually, if you do it yourself, it'll cost about $20.
