my non-bose has 4 x 6 in the doors.
yours may have the say. if not, probably 5 1/4" in the doors.

i suggest trying to get some 6 1/2" w/crossover & tweeter. this is only if you plan to build on the remaining audio components.

something like that..

the bose is 4" in the front doors. pull the door panel off and take a look at what's back there. if it's a black paper cone speaker in a funky shaped plastic pod, then it's still the Bose stuff.

To be truethfull just cut the speaker bracket that the bose came in and widen the circumference to 6.5inch. I say keep the enclosure because it will act like a enclosure which will help your speakers play more accurately. Less over play more efficient, and the amps won't send wasted wattage to the speakers. I have audio bahn 6.5 ak652 for fronts along with seperate dome tweets on the front door pillars, rears are ak693 3 way 6x9's along with another set of dome tweets on the rear door pillars along with 4 10 inch orion xtr's dropped down to 2 ohms stereo. hit me with a e-mail i will fill you in on my stuff!! OH can't forget i just put in a pioneer dvd player with a 7 inch monitor on a gooseneck man!!!! It is great!!!

If you have the original Bose setup you might be able to use the Bose speakers in the front. These are the beefy drivers from the Bose 901 series. Very nice. I pulled mine out with the enclosure maybe 7 years ago thinking that the whole thing was junk and placed some 4x6 speakers in the front. The speakers were junk but lasted for a while. Last year I looked in the attic and found the original enclosures, and removed the Bose drivers, and found them to be the original 901 drivers.

I rewored the speakers to have a lead that would accept the standard connectors and ran the wire through the speaker bass exit port, and all is fine.

Happy hunting.
