Dangling switch just underneath steering wheel?
Anyone know what this is for?

Probably just a wire harness for test when you bring it is to the shop. Just stuff it out of site.

yup, the plug for the Nissan consult tool

it's usually near the fuse box and has a plastic wrapping around it
