Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone knows the specs on the alternator for a 90 Max GXE. Im wondering what the current should be. I took it to a place and he said it looked kinda low, but he wasn't sure what it should be for a Max. Also,would a tripped out alternator screw with my tranny? Anything i could get on this would be great.

 

i think mid 14 volts is a safe bet but i'm not really sure. should be higher than 15 and probably shouldn't be lower than 13.5 to 14

I have a 91 gxe also and my voltage is normal at about 14.6 volts. Thats at idle speed. I had replaced my altenator about 1 year ago..

 

 

current = amps, not volts

the stock VE alternator is 95Amps, the stock VG alternator (your car) is 90Amps
