Fog light problems

Only one of my fog lights works but when i kick the other fog light it cuts on but will go out later in the night or the next night. Do you think i have a short and if so how would i fix it?

Maybe you should take it off the car and replace the bulb first it sounds to me like something is loose than having a short. If you had a short the bulb would blow and wouldn't come back on after kicking it. Get under the car with a 10mm socket and remove the two rear bolts and disconnect the connector, the whole fog assembly falls down. Then with a phillips screw driver remove the bolts in the back of the fog unit and the glass separates from the casing and then you have access to the bulb. Try that first.

When you get under the car there are four 10mm bolts don't do the front two bolts because they hold the fog bracket in place, the rear two bolts are the ones you have to remove and they connect the fog unit to the bracket.

happend to me with my head lights tho,
did you put a higher bulb instead of the factory one?
i did and it heated up and melted the socket the bulb is connected to, so the lights would go off and if id touch them they would get connection and turn on.

check the connectors thats probebly it.
if it was a short you would not be getting light period! not from time to time.

Try cleaning connector, then use some conductive grease on the contacts if you have some available.

If its not a dirty/loose connector, its likely to be a loose/bad ground connection or a broken ground wire.

Same thing happened to me...my ground in one of the fogs was not getting good contact, so I cleaned the connection area and soldered it down. Haven't had a problem since.
