i have a 92 se 5 speed and i was leaving from work and when i started my car and went to shift into first it wouldnt it is now stuck in what feals like nutral but its in 2nd gear so i drove it home in second. ive already searched through 4 pages of post with nothing matching my problem do you think its definitely a bad trany or could it be the linkage ive already checked cluch fluid levels which are fine. i bought the car about a year ago with 96xxx and it had a used trany putin at 90xxx now it has 108xxx so i guess you never know how long a used tranys going to last but i must say my driveing habbits dont help so any help appreciated thanks

what year does your haynes manual cover mines for the 85 thru 92 but of course it doesnt cover the ve engine or anythign to do with a 92 se which sucks thanks though i was talking to a friend and he thinks its the linkage to so im going to check it tommarow

ah i just found it in the manual and boy do i feel really stupid thats inside the trany well it looks like i might tear into it here shortly so wish me luck thank god for machanic friends
