Speed bumps

I just e-mailed Shox.com for a quote on springs. Before I order a set, I'd just like to hear from the org about how far they lowered their max and their experience with speed bumps; I can't park in front of my office without going over several speed bumps and I don't want to scrape my new exhaust system every day.

I've got Sprints, which are a 1.8 inch drop and I have no problems with speed bumps. We have a big momma speed bump at my school, but I just take it slow. Hopefully, I wont have any trouble later this week when my package arrives

There isn't any reason why you should harm anything over a speed bump if you go at the appropriate speed for the bump. You shouldn't even scrape your muffler, most bumps aren't high enough for that. Just remember to slow down, screw the people behind you who want to go fast.

I have intrax with KYB struts and the only thing that seems to always hit for me is my Suspension Techniques front sway bar. other than that i just go over most speed bumps at an angle to be safe!

I scrape my SFCs quite often on stuff, but they hang another 1" below the cat.. otherwise, I've never scraped on any other part of the car.

I finally took mine off because they looked like a$$. then of course, I noticed the last time theyr repainted my car, they painted the black stripe alll the way up to 2" before the wheel well, so I've got a huge red spot there.

oh well. going to start the repaint right after I get my air compressor for christmas.

H&R springs here, no problems with speed bumps. Hopefully I won't have any after I put the SFC's on either. I can actually take those really wide bumps faster than with my stockers.

yeah i took my flaps off to test fit the kit and those bastards never took them off to paint the rocker trim so i had to put them back on...good thing the whole car is getting redone or the shop would have fun taping and getting everything to match...
