Water pump replacement..............Check this out for me..........

A few months ago my water pump went bad and I kept driving on it and filling up the fluid all the time but just the other day the bearings in the water pump went shot and my max almost over heated so I dropped it off at the auto technology lab at my school. I then went to my local auto parts store and picked up a brand new water pump and some friends and I are going to take out the old one and replace it with the new one tomorrow, This is the first time i've done this but my auto tech teacher is going to guide us and I have the intructions on how to do it but I was just wondering if anyone has done this before themselves and how long it takes and the diffuculty level and such. Remember that I am not very handy with engine work and things on cars so I was just seeing what you all thought. Thanks
