my 92 had a the tranny rebuilt ~15k miles ago; about 3 wks ago, i noticed a red spot under my car when i would take it out of the garage each morning. i think its transmission fluid, and it would make sense that perhaps a seal or something has leaked since my tranny work was done. i called the place that did the work and they said as long as it wasnt draining like, a ton of fluid overnight that it prob. was ok to drive just get it checked out sooner than later. well, for whatever reason i havent been too responsible about it, and it seems as if the spot underneath the car gets bigger every night. also, this past week has been really crappy weather in MA, and my parents were in las vegas, so i have been using my moms jeep for the last week. today i drove my car for the first time in i think 8 days, and it was real sluggish to accelerate and shift gears (its an automatic) the rpms would kinda hover around 3 for what seemed like a long time before each successive gear change. is there a chance that this couldbe from the car having sat in the cold for a while w/out being driven? or am i prob. starting to do irrepairable damage to the tranny bc of this leak (AGAIN)? any help would be appreciated. i am bringing the car for a long overdue oil change this coming week and im gong to have the place check this problem out too, just figured id throw the idea up on here too. please help me out.

speaking from experience, by letting this leak go, you are playing with fire!!!! GET THE CAR BACK TO THE TRANNY SHOP ASAP...a small leak can turn into big probs.

I have a 91 SE, my AT is leaking too. I jacked my car up to find out where it was coming from. I discovered that it was coming from the driver side outer shaft seal. I'm going to change it soon after see what DA-MAX said.
