are e36 same as e38

are e36 same as e38

i was looking around and i have done and e36 head light convertion and was wondering if the e38 are the same size they look like they are the same shape and all . any know any thing about this?

i'm just guessing but i believe that the corner lense is part of the headlight assembly on the e38, so it would require a lot of extra work to get it to look decent

i saw one pair on ebay, they look the exact same but i'm not sure. i would just stick with the e36's because they seem more abundant.

I have a better question.

Do they sound the same? e36, e38? That is like saying, is a 3rd gen and 4th gen the same thing.
