6th Gen, 3rd Gen

I am so happy to own a 3 generation maxima. Look how far this car has come, and we still have the best one made (my oponion) I see all of these people talking bad, and talking good about the 6th Gen. Im glad to have my trusty ol' 1993. STILL running like new! Plus, Im not going to be 40,000 in debt over this craze! Tell me what you think. Im not jealous at all.

i think the 3rd gens do have the best looks. the 6th gen will be sweet if they do end up offering an awd option. that would be so sweet. probably over 260 hp with awd and 4 doors would be sweet. i still like the looks of the 3rd gen though.

Dunno. With the hp only a Ve w/ a turbo could match, that's pretty good.

nothing could beat the 3rd gen when it came out. not only in performance, but in comfort, refinement and reliability. the max in the early yrs was closer to a bmw than it is now.when the 4th gen came out, nissan said it was going to lose the "nitch" car and make a car for any and everyone. but i think different now that the 6th gen is coming.i feel the body styling appeals to a lesser crowd then the 3rd gens did. anyways. im happy too.

this also should have been posted in the 6th gen forum. but w/e. im no moderator

I didnt post it in the 6th forum because it directly has to do with my 3rd gen and how I like it better than the 6th. I wanted input from the 3rd gen'ers!

i agree bro. 3rd gens have good styling. altho if i could get ANY max...i'd get a '99 SE 5spd. i'm in love w/ those body styles. but i'm gona stick w/ the '90 w/ only 67k miles.

I think the third gen is one o fthe, if not the best designed max. It's almost timeless.

Anyway, do any of you guys wonder if the 3rd gen had as much debate as the 6th gen?

Agreed

I wouldn't think so, the 3rd gen looks awesome (and IMO looks a lot better than most other cars that came out back then), while the looks of the 6th gen will probably need to grow on people (including me).

Definately not! The internet wasn't really as big back then as it is now

Are you guys nuts? Ah.. 260hp vs 190hp(with the ve) or only 160hp(vg).

I'd take a 6th gen in a second.

well of course performance wise i would take the 6th gen, especially if they do have awd. looks wise (as of now) the 3rd gen is still number one. i'm waiting for the Jan 5 preview so we can really see all of the car.
