Maximum Tuning VB mod problems.

Aight i got about 2 hours of free time so i wanted to tell you guys about my vb adventure. I ordered my vb about 2 weeks ago from Maximum tuning the guys are really nice and helpful. I ordered the core and my total charge was around $675 and i get $200 back when i send in my old core. The install is not that bad on the VG's the vb is on top of the tranny so i did not have to drain the fluid. Just dont get any dirt in the tranny and you will have to watch out for our a/c lines that run right in the way. The install went ok and i went for a test drive up highway 77. it felt like i was driving a 94' honda civic i gave it gas and it went no where. The tranny was slipping like a ****. it did not shift crisp and it went ok in only first and 2nd but drive was awful. (by the way it was perfect before the vb swap) so i was really ****ed. i called the guys up the next day and they told me to install my old one and see what happens. The next install took about half the time and i had my old one back in and the car ran great. so it was a bad vb. I shipped it back to them (they paid for it both ways) so i am now in the process of waiting on my vb. they have been very nice about this situation. i will keep you guys posted on it.

I'm glad they are being as helpful as they were to me. I wouldn't worry too much, they will find the problem before they ship it back out to you. I know you are the VG VB replacement king now.

yeah Jeff is a great guy very honest, you have nothing to worry about, Im sure he'll take care of the situtation. Jeff is the only person i'll let touch my car, he's gonna be doing my engine swap this spring.
