Gas mileage & Broken exhaust studs

I am curious if anyone has had the problem with poor gas mileage caused (I think) by broken exhaust studs. Currently, I'm getting pretty bad mileage yet everything seems fine. The plugs, wires, air filter, etc. are in good shape, and there isn't any ecu codes. I've even changed the oxygen sensor. I plan to do the timing belt soon, and at that time I'll pull of the cylinder head (rear, of course!) and replace the studs then. I'm hoping that the studs are my problem.
Any help is appreciated.
