Hi, I am working on my girlfriend's '92 Maxima w/Bose stereo. A while back her Sony CD changer passed away, i bought her a new JVC changer for Christmas, went to install it, and ran into some trouble. Firstly, is there an adaptor for the two pin antenna connection? It appears to run the power antenna and the cable itself, but the way the original changer was installed involves running cable back to and from the trunk three times, degrading the signal a bit in the process. I did not find any adaptors at the stores I checked, but this would seem to be a logical piece for someone to make.
Second, After reconnecting all wires as the Sony was connected, I got no power to the bat terminal (constant power) I wound up connecting both switched and constant hot together just to get things working. Since then we have found the radio memory , clock, power antenna do not work. She also says the seat belt retractors are sporadic, may or may not be related. I checked all the fuses that were radio related, but was not aware that the clock was not working at the time. Problem is, the car lives in Alabama and I live in Chicago, I need some information before I fly down there the next time. She has no meters and minimal tools, makes this a greater challenge. Anybody know if there is a sepeerate fuse for clock/radio memory?
Thanks, Eric
