Is it possible to install the stock twin turbos from the 300ZX VG30DETT on my stock '93 SE (VG30DE) without causing damage? I found a wrecked ZX and I can get the turbos cheap. Thanks in adavnce.

no, it probably won't work. with enough money it could but that would be a lot. the engine in your is actually the vE30de, not the vG30de found in n/a z32's. be careful when talking about turbos around here. there are a lot of people that will flame you and tell you to search.

 

yeah you can put them on your car...just make sure they don't scratch up the paint! *ba-dum-dum-ching*

I can't forget about flashy cars. I'm all about flashy cars. I'm definately enjoying high school enough. I just want my car to have more power. I'm sure that I won't get all the stuff on the list, but I can get some of it.

 

Well, if you want a turbo car you should sell your Maxima, unless you just absolutely love your Maxima and absolutely want a turbo car. You're going to spend as much to turbo your Maxima as you will on a newer car with a stock turbo. There are a ton of other mods you could do for some more power, though, that will be much better than a turbo anyway. Remember: your engine wasn't meant to have a turbo, that's why it doesn't. Try the SEARCH and you'll find a ton of other more reliable mods for your VE. Unless your parents are rich and you're spoiled, a turbo VE30DE is pretty unrealistic.

In the FS forum there is a guy wanting to trade an AWD turbo Audi for a VE, you should look in to that...

 

Are you auto? If so, hows it shift? If you want more power asap, start with Y-pipe, free flowing intake, and a SMALL dry NOS system. I mean 75HP or less. These things will give you the boost you are looking for. Don't forget to make sure EVERYTHING on your engine is 100% working and tuned before you spend any dough on mods. Get it running the best it can first, then go for these simple and relatively cheap upgrades.

i think it's one of those plastic electric things you stick in the intake. it gives you something like 60 hp

when i change gears in it (after i put a blower valve!!)... its going to sound like this...
